// TERMS
TERMS & CONDITIONS.
How CAMP VERTEX operates. What you agree to when you register. How refunds work. The standard you are held to during the camp. Read all of it.
// THE SHORT VERSION
This page is a summary of the policies that govern participation in CAMP VERTEX. There are four operative documents: a Training Agreement, a Refund and Cancellation Policy, a Code of Conduct, and a Waiver, Release, and Indemnity Agreement. Every registered participant signs all four before arrival.
Reading this page does not replace the signed documents. The signed documents are what govern your participation.
// 01 · TRAINING AGREEMENT
WHAT YOU GET. WHAT YOU AGREE TO.
The Training Agreement is the master document for any registered participant. It is between BFLO Defense Group, LLC doing business as CAMP VERTEX and you, the participant.
Camp Vertex provides: lodging at Skyfall Reserve for the duration of the camp, all meals during the camp, formal firearms and martial arts instruction as scheduled, use of all training firearms, ammunition, mats, and equipment, and on-property transportation.
Camp Vertex does not provide: personal travel to and from Trinidad, Texas, personal training gear (gi, rashguard, mouthguard), medical services, physical therapy, treatment for injuries, or gratuities.
By registering, you represent that you are at least eighteen years of age, you have disclosed any medical conditions or injuries, you are physically and mentally fit to participate in high-intensity firearms and martial arts training, and you are legally entitled to handle and operate a firearm under all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

// 02 · FEES & BOOKING
The total fee for a camp is due in full at the time of booking. CAMP VERTEX does not offer deposits, installments, or payment plans. Once your payment is received, your seat is reserved and we begin turning away other qualified participants and committing instructor and facility resources around your booking.
If you cannot pay in full at booking, you cannot register. There are no exceptions to this.
// 03 · FIREARMS POLICY
LEAVE YOUR FIREARM AT HOME.
Personal firearms are not permitted at CAMP VERTEX. All training firearms are provided by us. A participant who arrives with a personal firearm, concealed or openly carried or transported in personal luggage or vehicle, will be immediately removed from training and required to depart the grounds. No refund.
Active law enforcement officers and Special Warfare military personnel may request an advance waiver to this policy by contacting charlie@camp-vertex.com prior to arrival. Waivers are granted at our sole discretion and must be confirmed in writing before you arrive on the property.
All Camp Vertex–provided firearms remain the property of BFLO Defense Group, LLC and must be returned at the end of the camp. Unsafe handling of any firearm, provided or otherwise, is a single-strike offense and grounds for immediate removal.

// 04 · CODE OF CONDUCT
THE STANDARD WE HOLD.
CAMP VERTEX exists for serious people. Firearms and martial arts are high-intent, high-consequence disciplines. The standard is not harsh. It is necessary. Every participant is expected to carry it for the duration of the camp.
// ON THE TRAINING
Show up to every session ready to work. On time. Hydrated. Fed. Sober. Training is not a spectator sport. If you are not on the mat or on the range at the scheduled start time, you are behind.
// ON THE MAT
Tap early and tap often. Ego gets people hurt. Control your partner. Injuring a training partner through carelessness or excessive aggression is grounds for immediate removal. Respect the tap; release immediately. Communicate physical limitations to your partner and instructor before rolling. Maintain hygiene: clean gi, trimmed nails, no jewelry. If you are sick, you do not train.
// ON INTOXICATION
No training under the influence of alcohol or any impairing substance. There are no exceptions. A drink at dinner is acceptable. Showing up to a training session impaired is not. A participant who arrives impaired will be removed from that session, and from the camp if it occurs again.
// ON INSTRUCTORS
Listen to the instructors. Ask thoughtful questions. When they correct your form or tell you to stop, accept the correction and comply immediately. Instructors have final authority on all matters related to safety and training.
// ON FELLOW PARTICIPANTS
CAMP VERTEX is close-quarters training. Respect your bunkmates, shared equipment, and common spaces. Clean up after yourself. No participant will be subjected to abuse, harassment, or disrespect. Anyone who delivers it will be removed from the camp.
Train hard. Keep your partners safe. Respect the instructors, the disciplines, and the gear. The camp gives back exactly what each participant puts in.CAMP VERTEX · CODE OF CONDUCT
// 05 · REFUND & CANCELLATION
LIMITED SEATS. REAL COMMITMENTS.
CAMP VERTEX runs limited-seat, high-demand training. When you reserve a spot, we turn away other qualified participants and build the entire camp around your commitment. The refund policy reflects that.
// IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL
Deposits are non-refundable. Once your seat is reserved, the slot is locked.
Cancellations are only permitted within fourteen (14) days of booking. After fourteen days, your seat is locked and no refunds will be issued.
If you cannot attend, notify us as soon as possible. We will make every reasonable effort to fill your spot from our waitlist or transfer your reservation to a future camp of equivalent value. If we successfully rebook or transfer your spot, we will refund the amount you paid less a fifteen percent administrative fee. If we are unable to rebook or transfer, the amount paid is retained to offset costs already committed.
// IF WE CANNOT HOST
Weather, acts of God, poor training conditions, and similar circumstances outside of anyone's control are not grounds for refund or rescheduling. These are inherent risks of outdoor training.
In the rare event we must cancel due to a property emergency or instructor unavailability that cannot reasonably be remedied, we will work with you in good faith to reschedule into a future equivalent camp. If rescheduling is not possible, we will refund the fees paid for the camp itself. We are not responsible for your travel costs, lost wages, or any incidental or consequential expenses.
// INJURY OR ILLNESS BEFORE ARRIVAL
If you suffer an injury or illness before camp and cannot attend, this is a participant-side cancellation. Contact us immediately. We do not offer refunds for personal injury or illness. This is the exact situation travel insurance is designed to cover.
// TRAVEL INSURANCE
Every participant should purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, interruption, medical emergencies, and related risks. Such policies are widely available and inexpensive relative to the cost of camp.
// 06 · INJURY & MEDICAL
Firearms training and martial arts involve inherent risks of serious injury, including but not limited to sprains, fractures, concussions, hearing damage, and other bodily harm. By participating, you assume all such risks.
In the event of injury, CAMP VERTEX will provide basic first aid and arrange emergency transport if needed. The nearest emergency room is approximately twenty-five minutes from the property. All medical costs are your sole responsibility. We strongly encourage you to maintain adequate health insurance.
The full Waiver, Release, and Indemnity Agreement covers this in detail. You will sign it before arrival.
// 07 · WAIVER, RELEASE & INDEMNITY
Every participant must execute the CAMP VERTEX Waiver, Release, and Indemnity Agreement prior to arrival. No one will be permitted to participate without a signed waiver on file. The waiver specifically addresses the heightened risks of firearms handling and contact martial arts training.
The waiver is provided as part of the registration process. Read it. Understand it. Ask questions about it before you sign it. Once signed, it is binding.
// 08 · MEDIA & PHOTOGRAPHY
CAMP VERTEX may photograph and record the camp for marketing and archival purposes. By registering, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your likeness and any captured media. You may opt out by written notice prior to arrival. See the Privacy Policy for details on how to remove a photo of yourself after the fact.
// 09 · LIABILITY & FORCE MAJEURE
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CAMP VERTEX's total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by the participant. CAMP VERTEX is not liable for incidental, consequential, or indirect damages.
Neither party is liable for failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control, except as expressly provided in the Refund and Cancellation Policy above.
